About Me

Marija Kočet was born in Varaždin in 2003 and works as a graphic designer. She enrolled in the School of Applied Art and Design in Zagreb in 2018. During her studies, she resided at the Ivan Mažuranić Student Dormitory, where she gained informal knowledge and skills in photography. In 2021, she participated in professional development through the Erasmus+ program in Münster, Germany.She has participated in numerous competitions and projects, including creating illustrations for the 'Judita' calendar by Marko Marulić, commemorating its 500th anniversary, which was published in Jutarnji List in 2022. In 2023, she enrolled in Graphic Design and Visual Communications at the Academy of Applied Arts in Rijeka, where she continues to develop expertise in photography and design.Kočet seeks to portray her subjects through her own perspective - timeless and magnificent, yet fragile and mortal. Through black-and-white photography, she aims to immortalize fleeting moments, rendering them timeless while capturing the essence of the individual and the instant.
